Really Simple Syndication – RSS what does that mean for you and your Internet browsing enjoyment? When people surf the Internet they tend to find favorite weblogs or websites, which they visit to frequently. Often times they have to book mark the site or URL of the site. When user discovers a number of sites they want to read updated content, they have a large list of URLs to save. This is where the need for RSS comes into play.
RSS feed - Advantages :
1. RSS gives you the latest updates. Whether it is about new music, software, local news or weather report or anything.
2. It is completely user choice which web blog or websites to subscribe in their RSS aggregators. Subscriber changes their subscription any time.
3. RSS saves your surfing time. As an RSS feed provides a summary of the related post, it saves the visitor’s time of browsing the net.
4. It reduces the mess in your inbox. Even though your email address will be required to enjoy the services of online RSS aggregators, Basically RSS does not use your contact list to send the latest updates.
5. RSS unsubscribing is also stress-free. All you have to do is to delete the RSS feed from your aggregator. Not like email subscriptions where the subscriber have to answer why she or he is unsubscribing.
6. It is spam free. Unlike email subscriptions, RSS does not make use of your email address to send updates thus your privacy is kept safe from spam mails.
7. This can be used as a marketing or advertising tool. This is the biggest advantageous for both the website owner and web user the since advertising becomes much targeted.
RSS feeds - Disadvantages:
1. Most of the users still have a preference receiving email updates a traditional method over an RSS feed.
2. For shortness and ease of publication, RSS feeds do not display the photos from the original site in announcing the update.
3. Publishers unable to conclude how many people are subscribed to their feed and the frequency of their visits. Furthermore, they would not know the reasons why users unsubscribe.
4. The identity of the source site can be confusing sometimes. Since RSS feeds do not display the actual name of the website or URL, it can sometimes get puzzling on what feed a reader is actually reading.

It is great post for SEOs to understand the RSS feed. Just keep it up.
awesome post here. it is very useful for me.
if you're going to do something, you might as well do it right. I asked Matt Cutts, and he said that if he was going to hire a SEO company, he'd hire one that used conservative strategies.Bergstrom-soe is one of the top SEO companies because they don't do anything that could get you blacklisted. They focus on adding content to your website, on-page SEO (fixing internal linking, page titles, etc,) and getting links back to you. They don't put any outbound links on your site. No outbound links means you can't get blacklisted. This is Prasen From a Best SEO Company in the world.
